The Perseverance of the Saints

Paul the apostle is greatly concerned whether the faith of these Thessalonians be fully grounded in Christ or "is our labor in vain?"

Many there are who take up a faith of works or mere intellectual information, knowing not a true work of Grace. These will not and cannot persevere, cannot run the race, cannot cling to their hope ... by by-and-by you will see them slipping away.

The question is: IS MY FAITH TRULY SAVING or a MERE NATURAL FAITH WHICH WILL PERISH IN THE TESTING?
