The Deity of Christ

The only Redeemer of God's elect is the Lord Jesus Christ, and His office of Redeemer is inextricably linked to His eternal divine nature. The doctrine of the divinity of Christ is fundamental to any proper study of Christology and to proper understanding of the Christian faith, and the scriptures are replete with testimony as to the divine nature of the Lord Jesus. This doctrine has been attacked throughout the history of the Church, and misunderstandings of this doctrine whether intentional or otherwise form the basis of most errors and heretical movements that have plagued Christendom.
