If God is for us, who can be against us?

By this rhetorical question, the apostle Paul shows that no matter how many and how powerful are the enemies of the Christian, the true believer is completely safe, because the Almighty God is for him.  No enemy can stop the purposes of God for the salvation of the true believer from being fulfilled.  We should not fear that somehow some great power will sweep us away to eternal destruction.  God, who gave us as a gift to his Son, is greater than all, and will keep us safe.
