The Approach of Love

We continued our studies in Philemon. We are getting to the matter of the letter and we considered the approach of Paul in writing to Philemon. We noted that this was a sensitive matter and whilst primarily a personal issue it would have an effect on the local gathering of believers. We considered the approach that Paul did not take and then looked at what he actually did. Paul took the route of love and appeal rather than command and heavy authority.
