4 The Love of Particular Atonement

• The Love of the Atonement -

Introduction: Matthew 1:21 - 1) It is JESUS who will save, and 2) Jesus WILL save, and 3) Jesus will save HIS people.

Three areas we must model our love for Jesus to our children:

1. Love for God's Word (Psalm 119)

2. Love for your spouse (Ephesians 5: 31-33)

3. Love for the church (Ephesians 5:25)

Four ways we actually love our children:

1. Pray for them (John 17: 6-9)

2. Spend time with those we love (Luke 10: 39-42)

3. Discipline them (Revelation 3:19)

4. Teach them of God's love (1 John 4: 9-10)

Conclusion: John 15:13 - "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends"
