The Bread of Life - Pt 5

[John 6:59] As we ended on this verse last time, we have an insertion here that Jesus, the day after He fed the 5,000 men (+women & children) the miracle loaves & fish (5 biscuits & some bait fish), we are told that the Lord was teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum. Why didn't John, the beloved evangelist, tell us that in the first place? because, as He was carried along of the Holy Spirit to write holy truth, God wanted our attention drawn 1st to the tremendous truths of Christ's miracle (vv1-14), Christ's walking on water (vv15-22), & finally, Christ's amazing & wonderful words of life (vv22-58). The fact that they were in church, so to speak, is merely incidental when compared to the revelation of who Christ is, what He has done, & most especially, what He is saying. We must always, always, ALWAYS keep that in mind.
