Blessed Are They That Mourn

Jesus announces God's blessing on those who mourn. Not all who are sad receive God's comfort, but rather those who are sad because their viewpoint on life is like God's. Mourning, then, is mourning for my sins and the sins of the world around me. Comfort comes, not by some mystic sympathy, but from God's Word and promises.
