Four ways the Church should respect Elders

Paul teaches us at least four things about how we should handle preaching Elders in the Church: We are to support Elders; We are to protect Elders; We are to Rebuke Elders appropriately; and We are to select of Elders carefully. Protection -- The church needs only hear a charge when two or three witnesses are available. Support -- Elders should be provided for by the church with generosity. Rebukes -- open blatant sins should be handled publicly. Selection -- Elder should be carefully chosen after they have proved.
