God's Judgment: 5th Trumpet

God's wrath is now poured out directly upon men - those who have rejected salvation in Jesus Christ and do not have the seal of God upon their foreheads are being afflicted on earth - the Day of the Lord proceeds with the sounding of the fifth trumpet. This trumpet announces the first woe, the release of locusts out of the bottomless pit who are given specific authority to hurt men like scorpions. It will last for five months and although these unbelievers will seek death, longing to die, it will flee from them. God continues to get the attention of unsaved mankind, using severe pain, but there is no indication that any men will repent and be saved by faith in Christ.
