Faith and Repentance Part 1

Faith is the spring of spiritual life, without faith we are spiritually dead. We need to examine ourselves for faith and repentance are necessary for salvation. We must not be proud, so take heed. (Romans 11:20).
Faith is

1. given to us by grace (means we have a new heart, effectual calling-we receive the all benefits.
2. Faith is a gift given by God
3. Faith saves us, we are united together in Christ, Christ has provided all that is necessary for Salvation.
   Coming to Faith is:
4. an act of the will through grace
   2.by the means of preaching
5. through a changed heart we receive Christ
6. We rest in Christ, casting our burdens, trusting, savoring Him.

We must examine ourselves-Self examination questions:

1. do i know Christ on an intellectual level?
2. Have I submitted to Him and hunger for the Word?
3. have I submitted to Him as King and Priest?
