Why the Mosaic Law gives the Jews a false sense of security
Series Romans
24
In Romans 2:17-3:8 Paul addresses the issue of God's condemnation of religious people . . . specifically, the Jewish religious people. In Romans 2:17-29 Paul attacks the two pillars of Jewish security, their possession of the Mosaic Law and the covenant sign of circumcision. In this message (v. 17-24) Paul first explains why the Jewish possession of God's Law is not capable of saving them, and how their possession of the Law makes them more accountable to God, not immune to His wrath.
