Saul, An Enlightened Man
Series The Epistles
'For our second hour service, Pastor Simpson took up where we left off last week talking about Saul who became Paul. What can we learn from Paul's salvation experience? While the world hates and tries to define away election, the Bible for not hate election. Election isn't hated in heaven! Election isn't hated by the men called to preach it! Election is only hated by those not elected. Today's message is focused on Saul's enlightenment; we ask, did Saul call on the name of the Lord first? Who took the first step; the Lord or Saul? The Lord of course! Acts 9:15 clearly declares that Saul was a 'chosen' vessel. Notice that the men standing with Saul heard the voice, but could not see any man (Acts 9:7); why? Why was Saul the only man that could both hear and see though he was blinded? It's hard to argue the plethora of examples of election in salvation from the Scriptures. Will you also kick against the pricks? Pray that God will remove the scales blinding your eyes from the truth in the Scriptures regarding election in salvation!
