1). Baptism is a sign of union.
How does baptism signify union with Jesus Christ?
- the meaning of 'to baptise'.
- the ceremonial OT baptisms.
- Pharisaical baptisms.
- baptism unto Moses.
2). Baptised into Christ's death.
Rom 6:3. Baptism signifies the union with Christ that died and rose again - the mode here not referred to.
3). Our baptism is a fact to be referred back to.
II. Baptism vows and administration.

Matt 28:18-20 'Why Trinitarian Baptism?'
1). One name because one God
2). Three Persons in one God
3). The Triune God saves
- All three Persons are active in the salvation of every elect sinner.
- Union with Christ is union with the Triune Godhead, Eph 2:18.
- We are to use the fact and meaning of our baptism.
