The Rock of Offense

For our second-hour this morning, Pastor Simpson delivered a spirit-fill gospel message properly emphasizing salvation by grace alone. Special attention was given to the Gentiles spoken of in verse 30. Gentiles is everyone other than the physical seed of Abraham. To the Gentiles were given no promises or covenants. As such, the Gentiles followed not after righteousness because no law was given unto them. For the law had been given to the Jews. And yet, they have arrived at righteousness through faith. Bible translators want readers to believe that these Gentiles came to righteousness by an act of "saving faith". Pastor Simpson; however, clearly articulated how the "faith" found in verse 30 is "the settled body of truth" of which Christ is the object & the subject.
