Sermon Point: Trust Christ and grow in Him!

Sermon Outline:

1. Seeking to fulfill the Law, the Jews make a merciless request (vs. 31, Deut. 21:22-23).
2. Pilate's troops carry out the grim task (vs. 32-43).
3. But not a bone of His is broken (vs. 33, 36, Ex. 12:46).
4. Rather, He is pierced for our (your) transgressions (vs. 34, 37, Zech. 12:10).
5. John Gives us eye-witness testimony of all this (vs. 35a, 25-27).
6. He does this so you will come to faith in Christ and grow in faith (vs. 35b, 20:30-31).
