The First Commandment

This part of the Catechism is the application of salvation to our life from the viewpoint of thankfulness. Christ fulfilled the law for us and we are dealing with sanctification, not having to live the law for salvation. The first commandment is special and the chief. If we fail in the first, why bother with the rest. We must worship the one true God and all others flow forth. We consider the first commandment from this perspective.
