The Proverbs 31 Woman

Verses 1-2 introduce this chapter as advice from a mother to her son, from a Queen to her Prince who would be King. The name Lemuel means "belongs to God" and it likely a term of endearment for Solomon by his mother, Bathsheba. She begins by asking what she should say in order to advise him in how to walk and rule righteously and she answers herself by giving him 4 warnings followed by a catechism useful for defining a virtuous woman. Each verse begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet, in order, and teaches the qualities to be sought and developed by women who would be excellent in all that they are and do.
