The Amalekite messenger: 1) A questionable report. (Why he is lying) a) The Bible says Saul committed suicide, he says he killed Saul. b) The armor bearer's story doesn't mesh. c) The armor bearer would have killed the Amalekite. 2) The Amalekite has a cold indifference. We have got to get ourselves out of the center of our thinking. Die to self.
