The Windows of Heaven

Without blushing, we believe that the Scriptures teach that God created all things in six ordinary days. If God, in fact, created all things, then there are a number of applications and implications for us. 1) Everything belongs to Him; all temporal things and all spiritual things belong to Him, 2) It also means that whatever we have, whether temporal or spiritual, it is given as a gift and trust from Him, 3) It also means that He determines the "terms of use" for whatever He has given, 4) It means that if He makes a claim upon His gifts to us, our response ought to be one of thankful obedience, 5) It means that if we, by our actions or attitudes, fail to acknowledge The Creator's ownership, we tempt the judgment of God and, as the text says, we rob God, 6) It means that when we confess God's ownership and we use His gifts as a trust, He has promised His blessing beyond what we can imagine or what we expect.
