The Treasure of Wisdom

In Proverbs 2, we learn why wisdom is a great treasure

1. The preciousness of wisdom (2:3-5)
   the knowledge of God is like silver
   the fear of the Lord is a spiritual treasure

2. The purpose of wisdom
   reveals your sinfulness (2:12, 16)
   reveals Christ (2:9)
   gives guidance (2:8)

3. The place of wisdom
   where is wisdom found?
   wisdom is found in God's Word (2:6a)
   wisdom is found in God's heart (2:6b)
   wisdom is found in faithful parents and teachers (2:1-2)

4. The perpetuity of wisdom
   wisdom provides a continual defense (2:7)
