The Triumphal Entry and the Den of Thieves

An expository message through Matthew 21 and the first "Palm Sunday," covering the events of the first day of what some refer to as the passion week, which began with the Lord Jesus presenting Himself to Israel as the Messiah in fulfillment of Zechariah's prophecy, with the crowd hailing Him as that same Messiah and shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest," but then ended with that same crowd shouting, "Crucify him, crucify him; we have no king but Caesar!"

After His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the Lord Jesus, consumed with zeal, drove the money changers from the very temple that He knew would within a few years be torn down. Do you think He has that same zeal for His church today, the church that He said would prevail against the gates of hell? What would He do if He came into most churches today? We think He'd drive out the money changers all over again...
