You PBs...

Primitive Baptists are often reviled for their beliefs. The Lord Jesus Christ said that this is evidence of a blessed state (Matthew 5:10). Often times that revilement takes the form of accusing us of believing things that we DO NOT believe such as, "You PBs teach that all Muslims, JWs, and Mormons are going to heaven." That is an inaccurate description of our doctrine. But we are glad to teach those who are interested in knowing the truth what we DO believe which includes (1) the reality and existence of good Samaritans (Luke 10:25-37), (2) the reality that in every nation those who fear God and work righteousness are accepted with God (Acts 10:35), (3) the reality that regenerate men can fall into idolatry (I Kings 11:1-11, I John 5:21), and (4) the Lord knows them that are his (II Timothy 2:19). These things are indisputable FACTS of God's revelation to us and they must shape any proper understanding of regeneration and the purpose of the gospel. (Preached at Sardis PBC near Lono, AR)
