The Sign and the Reality of God's Covenant

Israel is here exhorted not to rest in external religion but to seek the inward reality of love to God and hatred of sin which are the effects of true faith and repentance.

   The real effects of God's grace.
2. Promises to encourage, v1b.
   Indiscriminate conditional promises necessary for the outworking of God's unconditional decree of election.
3. A heart for God, v2-4.
