During the invasion of Jerusalem God will cause the entire military coming against Jerusalem to be filled with terror and blindness. His love for the Jewish people is evident as He says, “and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah.” Their enemies will be useless for achieving their goal, which is the destruction of Israel and particularly Jerusalem. The calamities that occurred to Israel in her unbelief, The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: (Deuteronomy 28:28) shall now fall on her enemies. The normally brave enemies will all experience an inability to see as well as experience wild and helpless panic. Modern mechanized military is called cavalry. The soldiers will suffer chaotic frenzy and they will not be able to see out of their vehicles.
