Demons, Swine, and Rejection

Matthew continues presenting 10 miracle stories leading up to a discourse on discipleship. In the casting out of demoniacs we learn that Jesus is sovereign over the spirit realm, that He is foreshadowing Gentile ministry, and that even with proven benefits, he is rejected and asked to leave. Such is the nature of the ministry disciples should expect. Rejection by the world.
