The Gate Shepherd

The internet is not only today's information highway, but fast becoming the business highway too. But to do online business such as banking or shopping, one must usually go through a portal or gate, signing in with a user name and password, plus other security measures. The portal provides not only security but also privilege to transact your business! In John 10, Jesus not only claims to be the genuine shepherd, but also the "gate" shepherd, that is He is the portal through which we enter to have a relationship with God. As the door, Jesus protects His own. Only He can save us from our sins and grant to us enteral life! He is the narrow gate through Whom we must enter. He grants to us not only enteral life, but also abundant life here and now. This abundant life does not necessarily consist of material things, but rather peace and contentment-- qualities that money cannot buy. As the door, Jesus is the gateway to abundant living. We are free to move under the lights rules of Christ. And in Jesus we find total fulfillment, everything we need for true, satisfying life! But to experience abundant living, we must enter through the 'gate", the portal, by trusting in Jesus Christ, and Him alone! Jesus Himself said, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me!" (John 14:6) Jesus is the "Gate" Shepherd!
