The Precepts and Promise of the Great Commission

We are so familiar with our Lord's command to "Go!" Or are we? How often have we heard that the Great Commission is the "greatest commandment in the Bible?" But did not our Lord identify a different commandment as the greatest? How often do we hear preaching that never gets past the "Go," is the going the emphasis of our Lord's command, or is it something else? Is the Great Commission exclusively about evangelism, or is there even more content here? In this message we learn that there are three commandments or precepts in the Great Commission: 1. Make disciples, 2. Baptize disciples, and 3. Teach disciples. And there is a promise attached to the command: that the Presence of Jesus will always be with His church until the end of the world.
