Don't Be Surprised by Suffering

Peter tells the early Christians not to be surprised by the fiery trial that they are enduring, as though some strange thing were happening to them. Christians are often surprised by the hatred of the world, even though we have been told over and over again that it is a reality. Peter then tells his hearers to rejoice. Are you rejoicing because of the hatred of the world toward you? Why not? (This sermon had some technical difficulties at the beginning and the end, requiring parts to be cut off).
