Know that the Most High Ruleth

The pride of man oozes out of all men. The number one problem in the world is man's pride. It is the mother of all sins.
It was the first sin. It was the sin by which Satan started war in heaven and for which he was cast out.
Pride was the poison of Satan's temptation appealing to the soft spot of human nature when he told Eve the lie, Ye shall become as gods.

It was pride that drove Nebuchadnezzar out of His kingdom to eat grass with the wild beasts for seven seasons or years before he was brought to the humble confession at the end of chapter 4 "those that walk in pride, he [God] is able to abase." Dan. 4:37
