Where is God?

Thesis: Because of ungodliness in the world and seeming unfareness, the believer may often become discouraged in wondering where God is and his work for his people and work against the ungodly.

1. God Seems Far Away (v.1-11)
   a. Because of the Poor
   b. Because of the Wicked

• Why does God allow and/or wait for the wicked to continually prosper
• Cause for unbelief in the Christian

2. Remember the Lord's Truth (v.12-15)

• Must lean on truth of scripture, what it reveals about God, his nature, character, how He has worked in past and not look at circumstances
• God works on his timetable and will exact justice and reward according to his plans

3. Pray Believing God Will Answer (v.12-18)

• God requires dependence upon His work, plan, character - we need to lean on him in prayer

4. It's Okay to Not Know Why (v.1-18)

• Expression of trust in God's working

CONCLUSION: Lean on God's understanding, and exercise faith in his work
