Faith

It lies on the very surface of the Bible that "the righteous man shall live by faith." Abraham is identified as the "father of all who believe," and so stands with his feet in both Old and New Testaments (cf Gal 3:6-9). Faith is so central to our way of life that Christians are commonly called simply "believers" and nonChristians "unbelievers." This is not only true in our day - it was already true in the time of the apostles. But what does it mean to "believe" in Jesus? And how can spiritually dead people believe?
