The apostle Peter had many encounters with Christ, and all of them led to his meeting with the resurrected Christ on a beach in Galilee. His whole identity and vocation came down to this one question from Jesus: 'Do you love me?' Peter knew that he did, but his confidence was now in what Christ had done and would do.
