David is in trouble and immediately turns to God for help. God uses afflictions to grow His people. David is most concerned for the glory of God and His Name's sake. David can pray with confidence to God, because He knows God. When he was most focused on God and in much prayer, there was great conviction of sin. David appeals to God's character in prayer; out of God's character flows His acts of grace. The Lord reveals Himself intimately to those who keep their eyes on Him and trust and obey His Word.
