It is a feature of the world in which we live today that the home and the family have come under attack from many different angles.
The Book of Proverbs has a lot to say about the relationship between the parent and the child.
This is a very important subject, and is highly recommended to parent and child alike.
The Rev Elliott looks at the parent/child relationship under the following main headings:

- The Joy Of It
'My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.'
(Proverbs 1: 8,9)
'My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.
When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.'
(Proverbs 6: 20-22)
