The Precious Commodity of Christ's Blood

Blood has been regarded by God as a precious thing from the very beginning of creation. A lamb gave its blood to cloth Adam and Eve outside of the garden; Noah was advised of the sacredness of the blood. God declared that those who shed the blood of another should have their blood shed; murder is never tolerated or excused in God's law. In God's eye blood is always a precious commodity; the most adamant declaration of this truth is found in our text.
