Intro: There are many times in the life of the believer where he or she questions and struggles with believing that living according to God's word is really the wisest way to do things.

Psalm 1

1 -Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 -Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 –For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
4 –For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer.
5 –I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” And you forgave the iniquity of my sin.

Psalm 41:1

Blessed is the one who considers the poor!

Psalm 65:4

a. So who is this happy and blessed man in verse 1 of the first Psalm.
b. First, the blessed person is one who is in Christ.
c. The happy man is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
d. Next the happy man is the man who delights in the law of the Lord,
e. and on his law he meditates day and night.
