Righteous or Religious. But not Both

Fasting does not make a person more righteous; keeping the Sabbath doesn't make a person more righteous. People may say or think otherwise but the truth is there is very little is said about fasting and even less is said about “keeping the Sabbath” from a Christian perspective. In fact, Christ seems to make it clear that the new can't be mix with the old.
