God's Attributes: Wrath
Series Systematic Theology
75
Systematic Theology - Lesson 35 - God's Attributes: Wrath. God's wrath means that He intensely hates all sin. God loves all that is right and good, and all that conforms to His moral character, then it should not be surprising that He would hate everything that is opposed to His moral character. God's wrath directed against sin is closely related to His holiness and justice. As a communicable attribute we learn that we are able to be angry without sin and are given instructions to follow when we are angry, including being slow to wrath and giving it its proper place. Ungodly wrath is to be put off, put away, and is included in the list of the works of the flesh.
