The Fruitful and the World

In Matthew 13, the parables of The Hidden Treasure and The Pearl of Great Price complement the parable of The Wheat and the Tares in that all these parables explain what should be the believer's relationship to the world: both in terms of its stuff and its people.
This sermon explains the origin of the "New Evangelical" movement and contrasts a key philosophical difference between the New Evangelicals and the "Old" Evangelicals (i.e. Fundamentalists). In this context, the sermon provides a Fundamentalist interpretation of the parable of the Wheat and the Tares as opposed to a common New Evangelical interpretation.
