Demonized Christians: Is it Biblical?

Demonized Christians: Is it Biblical?
Adam Peaslee.

Summary: Many in Christian churches today are teaching a watered down definition of the word for "demon possessed" in the New Testament; and misapplying that definition to teach that true believers, those with the indwelling Holy Spirit, can be, and often are, "demonized." This is not an exhaustive study of these things, but it refutes the proofs used by proponents of this false teaching, to show that, at the very least, they are abusing these scriptures to teach a false doctrine, at the expense of the Gospel itself.

I: Jesus' ministry is to heal the sick and demon possessed. (Matt 8:16-17)

II: Refuting false teaching about the meaning of the Greek words for "demon possessed," "cast out," etc, to prove that demon possession means that a demon both entered, and controls a person; unlike the watered down definition of "demonization" used by proponents of this view. (passages from Matthew)

III: Refuting claims that Paul was demonized. (2 Cor. 7-8)

IV: Refuting Judas as the one of few cases of demons entering a Christian.
A: Judas is not Christian.
B: Judas is not an isolated case of demons entering a person.
C: Judas is the son of perdition who deceived, if possible the elect.
