Why is the woman not permitted to speak in the church, to take a turn preaching and teaching the man does? Many female disciples of Jesus Christ are very learned, insightful, devout, caring, and gifted with a beautiful manner of speaking that communicates well with their listeners. Why are such women not allowed by the apostles to speak in the church, but required to learn in silence?
We find the answer today in the next verse in sequence as we study through 1 Timothy:
The woman was deceived.
