Is Jesus In The Old Testament? Some say Yes. Many say No. Who's right?

254 ( 235 | 19 )

What is the purpose of the 613 Jewish laws? That’s where we start this lecture. And we have determined so far, that it has absolutely no power to save anybody. Also we've been discussing the reason God has them put blue tassels on the fringes of their tallit’s in Numbers 15:37-41. It’s to remind them of the man who was gathering wood on the Sabbath. And we have started to make a connection to the blue tassels that Jesus wore and the healing of the woman who touched them. Jesus Christ is Life, and the woman knew He is the I AM of the Old Testament, Almighty God.

So if you are new to Cliffside, you are in the right place. This is the advanced class, and yes we are weird. If this lecture confuses you a little, just go back and listen to the past ten lectures and things will start making sense to you. If that doesn't work, try this... Read John 11:25-26. If you answer “no” to the question Jesus is asking you at the end of verse 26... There’s your problem.

The main purpose of this lecture is to assure you that there is no contradiction between God's infinity and our free will. He gave us free will but He does not control us, thereby granting us the freedom to accept or reject Him. That is Love. So this pastor asks us to consider the existence of free will.

We get into Genesis 15 here. That passage answers the question, “How can I know that I'm saved?” Pastor gets into a partial summery of this which is completely amazing. There's much more but I'll leave that for you to discover.

And now we start the lecture... Turn to Exodus 25 in your TextBook, pull out your notepad or your tablet and press play. The Advanced class starts now.
