Doers of the Word

If we find we are easily angered, we have a love problem. Remember, real love comes from God, God is love. If we are insecure with our relationship with God, it will effect every relationship we have. Man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Our human flesh is still a horrible diseased thing. God longs to save us, to change us. What comes naturally to our flesh is not holiness but we must daily die to ourselves. We must not listen only to the Word, but we must do what He says. We have a natural tendency to forget what we have just learned. James encourages us to remember what God says and put it into practice. Putting God's word into practice will bring us blessings. We should not think that we can improve God's design. We must be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to be angry even speaking the truth in love. Do you believe the Bible is true? Do you practice what God says? There is only One audience that matters. What does God think about your religion? In order to do what God wants us to do, we must take care of people. We should be taking care of orphans and widows in their distress and to be unpolluted by the world. Jesus is our perfect example, He delivered people in their distress without being polluted by those He helped. We must do what God says.
