Pastoral Visit July 1, 2020

78 ( 46 | 32 )

Dear Pittsford Community Church Family,

This Sunday is communion Sunday and we're prepared to safely serve communion to those who attend the worship service in person. If you plan to livestream, please participate in communion at home as we share together as one church.

Onsite attendance continues to grow slowly, and you're welcome to worship in person when you sense the time is right. In the meantime, don't hesitate to reach out to the PCC staff if you have any special needs.

We want you to be aware of a couple of conversations we're having these days. Through this season we've discovered that email communication works very well for the congregation as a whole. Therefore, we plan to discontinue printed bulletins in the future and rely solely on weekly email bulletins and links. We also plan to discontinue our monthly newsletter after August, since the weekly emails will provide adequate information for everyone. We're also likely to change worship service times in the fall, but this is still under discussion.

Oh yes, one more thing. We're moving our weekly email from Wednesday to Friday beginning next week. Too much information changes by the end of each week.

A verse on which to meditate this week is Proverbs 19:21, "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." With constantly changing plans around the Corona virus, it's reassuring to remember that the Lord's purposes prevail.
