Philippians 3 - Pt 11

23

Saul of Tarsus lived his life fervently to fulfill his desire to be the very best Jew, Pharisee, and lawful man he could be. He was proud of his record of his own goodness and adherence to the law, until he came face to face with the One he despised and was regenerated through God’s grace and faith in Christ. This caused Him to turn away from all his own works to find in Christ alone a righteousness freely given by God to those who would not work for their own righteousness but trust Him Who died and rose again to make them righteous and acceptable in His sight. Paul’s desire was to die to the glory of God with his whole being eagerly awaiting the resurrection that God has promised to all those in Christ.
