Church History #26 The History of California Southern & Missionary Baptists

This was the final missing Church History class that was not on sermonaudio. ENJOY Dr Phillips teaches on the history of California Southern & Missionary Baptist Churches beginning with the Baptist preacher trying to pastor the first Baptist Church in California in El Monte, Ca. He went into the pulpit with a Winchester rifle and a Colt pistol in his belt. Originally all Southern Baptist Churches were know as Missionary Baptists also. To be exact many were called the First Orthodox Southern Missionary Baptist Church of etc. according to which locality. We regretfully state that Dr. Jim did not have the funds to record these classes on video which would have captured at least 2 hours of each class. Dr. Jim is an unsalaried volunteer pastor at Valley Baptist Church and these classes are all recorded out of his own funds which are limited. Not having these classes on video was a great loss because many of these classes went way beyond the CD and Cassettes' recording times.
