Hebrews 1:14

123 ( 76 | 47 )

The first and second chapter of Hebrews has a lot of talk about angels, which has brought up a lot of questions in people's mind about angels. Three common mistakes regarding angels: to not believe in angels, to misdefine angels, or to overemphasize angels. As always, we should use, not media, Hollywood, or our imaginations to define angels, but we should use the Word of God.

What the author of Hebrews gives a very good summary of angels. We are never told to pray to angels or call upon angels in any way. Angels are not babies or pretty ladies, but are powerful mysterious creatures that do exactly as Jesus commands. What is the point of this passage in Hebrews 1:14? The One who died upon the cross in humiliation has ascended back to heaven is the one who commands the thousands upon thousands of the most powerful creatures ever created. Jesus is in charge of all things, even angels.
