Enoch's Epitaph

Enoch is mentioned in both the Old Testament and in the New Testament.

The last Verse in the Old Testament about Enoch says that Enoch walked with God. Gen 5.24. What an Epitaph for a man of God.

Enoch became the Father of Methuselah at 65 years of age. Methuselah became the Grand Father of Noah, that means that Enoch was the Great Grand Father of Noah.

Methuselah’s name means “When he dies Judgement”. Enoch knew that Judgement was to come upon the world because of man’s sin.

Methuselah died in the same year that God judged the World with the Great Flood in Noah’s Day. Enoch seemed to have given a prophecy to his world then through his son’s name of the Judgement to come.

Enoch is the first Second Coming preacher in the Bible. The Seventh man from Adam all those years ago was the First man to preach the Second Coming.

Enoch’s World was similar to our world in a number of ways.

So Enoch lived in an age of intelligence and progressiveness. Enoch also lived in an age of immorality.

The truth is we need more people like Enoch today. Men and women of faith who are willing to live a life of godliness and proclaim God’s message to a fallen world.
