Reconciliation

At our last several communion services we have studied some key words that describe aspects of conversion. Propitiation takes us to the temple precincts where the wrath of God is appeased by the shed blood of Christ. Redemption takes us into the marketplace where Christ bought us back from the slavery of sin. Justification takes us into the courtroom where our legal standing is changed as Christ's righteousness is given to us. Reconciliation takes us to the family table describing our transformed relationship with God one that is restored to harmony and love.
