Land of the Free? Not in America

In the 8th chapter of John the Lord Jesus addresses Israelites who also thought they were free, and had always been so, forgetting that Israel had once been enslaved in Egypt and Babylon and were even at that time subjugated by the invading armies of Rome. Further, and more importantly, they thought they were free spiritually when they in fact were in bondage to their sin.

In the same way today many Americans drowning in ignorance sing "I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free," and start every professional sports game with the words of the Star-Spangled Banner, proudly proclaiming America as the "land of the free and the home of the brave."

This message, which you will not hear in any 501c3 state-sponsored church, lays out the truth of freedoms that have been lost to increasing tyranny in America over the course of the last several decades. Things were bad enough 25 years ago when Thelan Paulk wrote that great poem, "A Visitor From the Past." Over the last ten years since the NY attacks on 9/11/01 and the ensuing passage of the unconstitutional, diabolical, and treasonous Patriot Acts legislation by a corrupt Congress, America has continued down a steep spiral and is fast becoming a socialist police state and totalitarian dictatorship.

Americans must wake up. There IS a land of the free on the horizon, but America is not that land. True freedom can only be found in freedom from sin, and that can only be found in the Son. "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" - John 8:36.
